I was on a fishing trip recently and, crossing the River Severn at Stourport-on-Severn, there was a road closure. Not familiar with the area away from the main road, I decided to follow my instinct.
Then, I stopped the car and switched to the sat nav on my phone. It knew more than me, it saved time, got me home more quickly and cut down on the mileage.
Do we trust our own ways more than God’s? The bible tells us in Psalm 119:105:
‘Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.’
