As you can watch in the above video, this week’s Wednesday Words of Wisdom is inspired by the juvenile birds in our garden at home. There are lots of them at the moment and, just after I recorded the video, I saw a blackbird which takes us to eleven species so far in 2026.
The message, as per the heading, is all about taking responsibility for your own life and not expecting everyone else to do things for you. Now, of course, there are times when we do need support from others. Plus, we should never think that we can do it without God’s help.
It’s all about context and that’s exactly how we should read 1Corinthians 13:11.
