Maybe you’re a casual observer of our Sunday service and you think that some of the Bible stories are far-fetched?

The final online service for the month of May was filmed exclusively at base this week, including the jay photographs from the garden.

Bridge Church, Himley Road Methodist and Bridge Church, to be precise. The common denominators are a) They’re all in the Gornal area and b) I was the speaker.

This Sunday is a different format, in the sense that we are looking at one passage of scripture, which is John 11 and, in particular, the verses that tell the story of Lazarus.

Welcome to another online service from the upper room, the penultimate one of April. Time flies but life – and especially the importance of making the most of it – goes on.

After last week’s recordings downstairs – as well as in Burslem – we are back in our familiar surroundings this time round. Although Hiraeth is a bungalow, it is a dormer, so we do have stairs.

We describe the ministry as ‘Church with a difference’ and that is certainly the case this week, with footage from Burslem, Straits and Lower Gornal – all in Staffordshire.
