We all make plans – and rightly so – but they don’t always work out as we intended.
In the book of Acts (chapter 16) we read how Paul made his plans on a particular missionary journey but it didn’t happen.
6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. 7 When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.
In this instance, we see why things didn’t go to plan. It wasn’t God’s will.
That’s the key. He has a wonderful plan for each of our lives and, if we submit and ‘go with the flow’, it will happen.
