My chosen artist for this review is Stars Go Dim, his actual name being Chris Cleveland. His genre is described as pop which is not my usual listening choice but I do like to switch it up from time to time.
Browsing through my Spotify playlists, I noticed that I Had given one of his songs called ‘Satisfy’ a ‘like’, so I decided it was time to explore a little more of his music.
The track that particularly caught my eye is called ‘Roses’, I was curious to see what this one was about. Well, I wasn’t disappointed and will definitely return to it again. Aside from the message of the song, which I will mention in the next paragraph, I enjoyed the vocals and ballad style.
The main theme of the song is ‘stop and smell the roses’. It’s a good reminder to take time out from the day to day rush and problems that we face, and appreciate the beauty and the good things that are happening around us.
I’ve said this before but that’s what I like about Christian music, it’s always uplifting and helps to bring some positivity and light into what, at times, can be a very dark world.
If you’ve had a bad bay at work or you are fed up of all the bad news on social media, stick some Christian music on, it helps.
