This time Stewart joined me, listening to my ‘Blog Favourites’ playlist through the car speakers. Stewart loves the gospel drum and bass tracks, but, as he found out along the way, my playlist has so much more and is an extremely eclectic mix of styles.

Each week I watch a live recording of the morning service from a Church in Burslem, which my daughter attends

Easter Sunday is always a special day in church, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, and I think the next song, ‘Happy Day’, is the perfect fit. The lyrics themselves tell the story beautifully, but when you hear them alongside the tune its quite something.

The band I’m going to look at this week was found for me by Spotify, and what was initially an annoyance that comes with the free version, turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

This one covers a topic that has been mentioned on several occasions in our Upper Room services and, unknown to me, was what Stewart based his message on for the ladies’ meeting.

Next Monday, Stewart has been booked to speak at a ladies meeting that we regularly visit, and I have been asked to sing a couple of songs.

Last Sunday we visited a church we hadn’t been to before, where Stewart was booked to preach and lead, and I was asked to sing.

The challenge this week was to find an artist or band beginning with the letter Q. I did wonder if I would be able to find anything.

Interestingly, August 28th is the exact date of their 30th Anniversary concert in 2025, so they became a band 31 years ago today.
