I recently came across an artist that I liked the sound of, whilst I was looking for a song that we sing in church called ‘Goodness of God’. It’s a favourite of mine so I was seeking out a nice version to add to my favourites playlist. I tried a few versions, and although there was nothing bad about any of them they didn’t jump out at me as such. Then I came across Rhett Walker, not a name I had heard before but I really loved the way he sang it. You can listen to the song here
I really liked his voice and country music style and continued to play through several tracks. A lot of them appealed to me but one that stood out especially was a country/rap collaboration he made with an artist called Tedashii. The song is called ‘All Joy No Stress’. I thought this was a genius combination and loved everything about it.
It has a really catchy tune and the whole theme of the song is great, it’s a perfect reminder not to stress and focus on the bad stuff that happens to us all. This was taken from Rhett Walker’s website about the song. ‘The whole world is looking for joy, hope and peace, and we waste so much time searching for everything that can’t sustain. Joy that changes your life comes from Jesus. Once you find that you’re able to start living a life that’s a little more joy and no stress because it’s then we realise who holds our life.’
Whilst writing this the virus protection on my laptop has flashed up as not working and at the same time the dog has just been sick all over the carpet, not major things I know but let me just play this song on repeat for a while, just as a reminder.
You can do the same here I hope you enjoy it, I certainly am.
