The Gornal Methodist circuit is very evangelical and I was preaching at one of the churches during the week.
This was my second engagement of the year at the Lake Street Monday afternoon fellowship and, once again, it was a very enjoyable experience.
The video contains footage from the visit, where I spoke on the importance of being in the right location.
That’s also the theme for the message in this week’s online service from The Upper Room. It’s good to be in the right place physically but especially so when it comes to within.
The passage of scripture comes from 1 Kings 17: 2-6, where Elijah was given directions regarding where to go. He followed them and, as a result of being in the right place, he was blessed.
2 Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: 3 “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”
5 So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
The hymn that Debby has chosen this week is How Great Thou Art.
