Following on from my last blog, the second artist that I really enjoyed from the Christian Festival that we attended is Limoblaze. Originally from Nigeria, he is now UK based. He has been around for quite a few years but was still new to me. His music is described as blends of Afrobeats and hip hop.
He had a full band on stage with him and I really enjoyed the whole performance. A couple of songs really stood out to me, the first being ‘Pretty Day’, you can listen here. He got everyone singing along the chorus with him and it was so good to see so many young people joining in, most of them already knowing all the words to his songs.
The second song from the performance that I want to share is his latest release, it’s one of those songs that I get stuck in my head, but I never mind that too much as long as it’s a good one. In my opinion this one is and it’s called ‘Pray’, you can decide for yourself here.
Following the event I found another song that I just couldn’t leave out, called ‘Good God’, Ada Ehi joins him on this one and it’s from an album that he released back in 2021 called ‘God’s Favourite Baby’. The harmonies and blend of their voices is so good, I don’t really know what else to say, other than I love it. You can listen here
