Welcome to the first online service for the month of November, 2025, from The Church at Hiraeth. The first Sunday of this month is designated by numerous Christian organisations and fellowships as a day when we acknowledge – and pray for – persecuted believers.
Open Doors has a list of the most dangerous nations in the world, as far as being a Christian is concerned, and I mention the thirteen ‘red’ countries in the video. Having travelled far and wide myself, there are a couple of personal stories from Ghana and Romania included.
In addition, although I wasn’t involved in it personally, there is an account of Christian persecution right here in the UK. That’s going to become more prevalent, by the way. Remember though that, ‘he who stands firm to the end, will be saved.’
The hymn that Debby has chosen this week is The King Of Love My Shepherd Is, which is based on my favourite Psalm, 23. Debby mentions the relevance of that, in the context of persecuted Christians, therefore it’s a very appropriate choice.
