Now that we’re in December, the Sunday services from The Church at Hiraeth will all be Christmas-themed. The carol that Debby had chosen this week is a well-known Christmas tune, God Rest You Merry Gentlemen.
The exact year – or even century – of its birth is uncertain. Some claim it’s from the sixteenth century, others the eighteenth or nineteenth. Whatever the truth may be, it’s a great carol.
