Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say, and that’s certainly been the case in 2025 with The Church at Hiraeth. Today’s online service is the final one of the year, as we stay with the Christmas story.
It’s the same passage of scripture from last week – when the magi visited Jesus in Matthew 2 – except this time we focus on Herod. ‘Let me know where the child is’, he said, ‘So that I too may go and worship him’.
Sounds good, except that he actually wanted to kill him. There’s more in the video on how insecurity sometimes manifests itself in self-preservation. We might not want to physically kill someone but we still want them ‘out of the way’.
