Mr. Chris T. Ian

Here we are again, another week gone by. Time certainly seems to fly by these days. This week brings us back with the alphabet search again and we have reached the letter I.

I shall begin with the band Ill Harmonics and the title track ‘Mr. Chris T. Ian’ here. I loved the name of this track, I thought it was very clever, that’s initially what made me listen to it. It’s not the kind of song that I would play a lot, but I did think it was very cleverly written. Another track that I liked, is one that I know originally as a church song, but it has been given a very interesting makeover with a few additional lyrics added too. I liked the original version, but this is even better. This one I will definitely be playing again. You can listen to ‘The Heart Of Worship’ here.

ISLY is my next choice, I really like the sound that they have, and two songs in particular stood out to me. The first is ‘More Than The Stars’ here. It’s a beautiful song about God’s love for us. The second song is ‘You Deserve The Praise’. This is their new single that came out this year. Great vocals and lyrics and this one has a tune that will stay with you too. You can listen here.

The last band for today is Ivoryline. Their last album was released back in 2010 so they are a relatively old band, but I really like their style. I’ve selected a couple of tracks to share with you, both in video form. ‘Instincts’ here and ‘Hearts And Minds’ here. They are primarily classed as a Christian rock band but are also described as blending elements of pop punk, alternative rock and post hardcore. So it would seem with them you get a bit of everything. Whatever they are classified as, I think they sound great.

I do have one more artist to share with you but I am going to keep them for next week as there are quite a few songs that I would like to include. I listened to them back in my childhood and early teens, so I thought it would be nice to dedicate a whole blog entry to their music. I’m not going to reveal who it is just now, you will have to wait till next week, so watch this space…
